Two Bodies Recovered After Avalanche Strikes Himlung Himal Base Camp in Nepal

Rescuers recovered two bodies after an avalanche struck a climbing group camping at the base camp of Himlung Himal peak in Nepal's Manang district.

Around a dozen people are thought to be missing following the incident, which occurred after heavy snowfall around the 7,126m peak.

Poor weather and thick snow hampered rescue efforts, with helicopter teams struggling to reach the site.
