US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on Monday that Washington is very close to finalising a trade deal with India, factoring it into national security waiver decisions.
Rubio explained that America waived recent Russian energy sanctions due to global supply constraints and high diesel prices impacting various countries worldwide.
Rubio is scheduled to travel to India on Tuesday to hold a meeting with external affairs minister S Jaishankar in Mumbai.
