A 2022-born Polish citizen drove a car onto Krakow's Main Market Square and opened fire on Saturday, killing six people and wounding at least 15 others in Poland's deadliest shooting in decades.
Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski stated that the gunman wore military-style clothing, carried a semi-automatic rifle, and appeared to be fascinated by far-right ideologies.
Police officers shot and wounded the suspect at the scene before taking him to the hospital, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk praised the response of the police.
