Zaheer Khan and Farveez Maharoof Back Gurnoor Brar for Test Debut

Former Sri Lanka all-rounder Farveez Maharoof has identified 26-year-old pacer Gurnoor Brar as a potential X-factor for India's upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.

Brar, who took 10 wickets in a match at Galle last month, is being considered for a debut in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.

The two-match Test series is scheduled to begin in Galle on Saturday, with India looking to strengthen their bowling attack.
