Manipur government to form committee representing all 36 communities for unity

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh announced on Saturday that the state government will form a committee representing all 36 communities to promote peace and inclusive development.

The Chief Minister stated that the proposal followed a query from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the existence of such a unified committee.

The announcement came during an event felicitating hill chiefs at the Secretariat in Imphal following the inauguration of the Hill Chiefs' Guest House.
