The Delhi government announced the DURGA E-Auto Scheme to launch 1,300 electric autorickshaws operated by women and transgender drivers to improve last-mile transport safety.
Authorities will request ride-hailing firms to waive onboarding and subscription charges, while eligible buyers receive purchase incentives under Delhi's EV Policy 2026.
Of the total vehicles, 1,170 slots are reserved for women and 130 for transgender applicants, distributed across 13 revenue districts via district-level committees.
