Vijay recalls Karur stampede victims on first anniversary

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president C. Joseph Vijay paid homage on Sunday to 41 people killed in a crowd crush at a political rally in Velusamypuram, Karur, on September 27, 2025.

Mr. Vijay stated in a post on X that the incident left an indelible scar and enduring pain in his life, Karur residents, and across Tamil Nadu.

He urged party members and locals to provide mutual comfort, support, and strength to those grieving the loss of their loved ones.
