Election Commission Orders Special Drives To Enrol Left-Out Voters

The Election Commission directed authorities in 20 states and Union Territories to undertake special enrolment drives for left-out, young, and first-time eligible voters.

The directive follows the removal of approximately 13 crore names from draft electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision across states and UTs.

Booth Level Officers will conduct house-to-house visits over a month to cover at least 25 electors weekly and facilitate enrolment using Form 6.
