Nepal Flash Floods Devastate Villages Near Tibet Border

A glacier collapse on Wednesday triggered deadly flash floods along Nepal's Trishuli River, resulting in over 550 confirmed deaths and leaving hundreds of people missing.

Satellite imagery from Vantor shows total destruction in villages like Timure and Syapru Besi, with debris and mud reaching 100m above the riverbed and 2.5km upstream.

Chinese authorities have warned of a high risk of a second flood caused by a newly formed barrier lake, which continues to hamper ongoing rescue and recovery efforts.
