Hepatologists highlighted that while Hepatitis A and E are less severe, Hepatitis B and C are silent infections that can progress to cirrhosis, liver damage, and cancer if left untreated.
Doctors emphasized that while vaccines exist for Hepatitis A and B, Hepatitis C requires a finite course of antiviral medication, necessitating annual check-ups even after the virus becomes inactive.
