Fast bowler Mohammed Shami announced his retirement from Test cricket on Friday, concluding a 13-year career with 229 wickets from 64 matches.
Shami made his Test debut against the West Indies at Eden Gardens in November 2013, finishing with an average of 27.71 and six five-wicket hauls.
While stepping away from the longest format, Shami remains active in white-ball cricket and is named in Bengal's squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
