Oil prices jumped more than $3 a barrel on Monday following new strikes on Saudi Arabia and vessels in the Gulf on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Brent crude futures rose $3.62, or 3.46%, to $108.23 per barrel by 2214 GMT, while WTI futures climbed $3.15, or 3.15%, to $103.20 per barrel.
Saudi state media reported Houthi attacks on Jazan province, while a UKMTO-reported projectile struck a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz and Iran confirmed one crew death off its coast.
