India secured the 10th position at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 held from September 22 to 27, improving from its 13th-place finish at WorldSkills Lyon 2024.
The country's 70 competitors won six silver medals and 20 medals of excellence across 63 vocational and technical skill categories.
India participated in 11 new skill categories, including dental prosthetics, digital interactive media design, and unmanned aerial systems.
