Rajya Sabha Chairman directs Minister to convey Opposition demands to Shah

On the 14th day of the Monsoon Session, Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan directed Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju to echo Opposition demands for Home Minister Amit Shah's presence.

The House faced multiple adjournments on August 6 as Opposition members, led by Mallikarjun Kharge, protested the Home Minister's absence during Question Hour.

Minister Rijiju had earlier raised a point of order citing rules against the repetition of arguments by Opposition members, while the Chair continued listed business amid the ongoing din.
