Metro Nashville Public Schools Update Start Times

Metro Nashville Public Schools will implement new start and dismissal times for the upcoming academic year, following approval by the Board of Education.

High school schedules will shift to 7:25 a.m. – 2:25 p.m., starting 20 minutes later than the previous year to allow students more sleep.

Elementary schools will now start at 8:10 a.m. and end at 3:10 p.m., while middle school hours remain set at 8:55 a.m. – 3:55 p.m.
