
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute researchers found that combining CDK2 inhibitors with immune checkpoint inhibitors eradicated colorectal and breast cancers in animal models.
The study, published in Molecular Cell, reveals that CDK2 hyperactivation helps tumors resist immunotherapy by suppressing immune-related gene expression.
The team plans to launch a clinical trial to test this combination therapy, which also increases the infiltration and activity of dendritic cells in tumors.
