Delhi University Students' Union Vice-President Deepanshu Shokeen submitted a representation to the University's Vice-Chancellor outlining four urgent student demands.
The representation calls for rent-control mechanisms for private paying guest accommodations, a time-bound hostel expansion plan, and safety audits following the Satya Niketan tragedy.
The demands also seek financial compensation for families of students affected by recent residential building collapses near the campus.
