Mike Flanagan has created an 8-episode adaptation of Stephen King's novel Carrie for Amazon Prime Video, starring Summer H Howell as Carrie.
The series modernises the story by placing the telekinetic protagonist in a high school environment dominated by social media influencers and 24/7 online updates.
The cast includes Samantha Sloyan as Carrie's mother Margaret, Alison Thornton as bully Christine Hargensen, and Anber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin.
