The BJP announced the launch of ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatras’ starting September 18 to highlight the drug menace across all 117 Assembly constituencies ahead of the 2027 State polls.
The anti-drug campaign follows a political row over the alleged death by suicide of a Dalit villager who questioned Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema about synthetic drugs.
State BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon stated that the marches will address drug abuse, deteriorating law and order, and corruption in the State.
