Serbia's long-standing leader Aleksandar Vučić admitted defeat to the student-led protest movement in snap parliamentary elections held late on Sunday.
Preliminary figures from the election commission indicated a record high turnout, while Vučić stated that early results made it clear his party lost.
Vučić had called the snap elections following two years of protests triggered by the 2024 collapse of a train station canopy in Novi Sad.
