Indian-Origin Woman Arrested for Murder of Two Women in California

Anila Baby, a 32-year-old Indian-origin woman, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killings of Ann Mary Mathew and Anjana Hari in California.

The separate attacks occurred on August 28 in San Jose and Milpitas, with victims found stabbed and struck by a vehicle respectively within 90 minutes.

The accused appeared in Santa Clara County court and faces a potential sentence of 50 years to life if convicted, while investigations into the motive continue.
