Belgium Assures India of No Defence Cooperation With Pakistan

Belgium has formally assured India that it will not provide defence technology or military assistance to Pakistan, following bilateral talks between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his Belgian counterpart Theo Francken.

The meeting held on September 3, 2026, in New Delhi, focused on expanding strategic cooperation in maritime security, aerospace, and information security between the two nations.

Both countries agreed to strengthen industrial collaboration through high-level dialogues and joint efforts to boost indigenous defence manufacturing, as discussed during the India-Belgium Defence CEOs Roundtable.
