Hanover Area School District is reviewing its communication policies after a student reported inappropriate emails between a teacher and a pupil that were discovered in May.
At an August 11 board meeting, graduate Samuel Matthews alleged the messages crossed professional boundaries, though he clarified they were not sexual in nature.
Superintendent Daniel Malloy stated the district is committed to policy reform and introspection, following similar proactive measures taken by other districts in Luzerne County this summer.
