
The death toll from a passenger ferry fire off Coron, Philippines, rose to 35 on Friday as rescue workers recovered more bodies from the charred vessel.
The fire broke out late Wednesday night on the MV June Aster, leaving 54 people missing and forcing 43 survivors to evacuate.
The ferry was carrying 117 passengers and 17 crew members when the blaze erupted approximately 7.4 kilometres from its destination.
