England Test captain Joe Root has scrapped the midnight curfew for players, effective immediately ahead of the upcoming three-match series against Pakistan at Headingley.
The curfew was originally introduced in January following late-night incidents on tours of New Zealand and Australia, but Root stated that players must be treated as adults.
The decision marks a partial U-turn on behavioral guidelines issued last month, which also discouraged alcohol consumption in public and private settings during match periods.
