Hero Pilot Smit Machchhar Recovers in Abu Dhabi Hospital

Hero pilot Captain Smit Machchhar is recovering in an Abu Dhabi hospital after fighting off an axe attack by his Omani co-pilot inside the cockpit and saving 174 flydubai passengers.

His father, Bhupendra Machchhar, stated that his son sustained significant head and hand injuries requiring stitches and surgery, and credits inner strength for the heroics.

The injured pilot previously communicated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recounting how he acted decisively to prevent passenger fatalities during the sudden plane plunge.
