India beat Mongolia to extend winning run at Chess Olympiad

Defending champions India defeated Mongolia 3.0-1.0 in Samarkand on Saturday to secure their fourth consecutive victory at the 2026 Chess Olympiad.

Divya Deshmukh and Savitha Shri B secured crucial wins on Board 3 and Board 4 respectively, while Koneru Humpy and R Vaishali drew their matches.

The victory marked the first time the Indian women's team conceded a full point in the tournament, moving them forward to face Poland next.
