Fifteen-year-old Tanvi Patri became the first Indian to reach the women’s singles final at the Youth Olympic Games after defeating Japan's Yuzuno Watanabe.
Patri, who won the Asian U17 Junior Championships title earlier this year, will face China’s Zhang Yu Xin for the gold medal on Thursday.
She is the third Indian badminton player to secure a medal at the Youth Olympics, following HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen in previous editions.
