Uckfield Post Office Closes Indefinitely Following Store Shutdown

The Uckfield Post Office in Sussex closed on Tuesday following the shutdown of the TG Jones store on the High Street, leaving residents without local parcel and currency exchange services.

A Post Office spokesperson stated that finding a replacement operator could take approximately six months, despite the company having already advertised the vacancy to potential new business partners.

The closure follows a wider trend that saw 52 other post offices across the country shut down in August after Morrison's stores closed their doors due to rising operational costs.
