
The Japan Digital Agency disclosed a cyberattack on its Government Solution Service network that may have compromised personal records of about 246,000 individuals.
Discovered on June 25, the unauthorized access occurred due to a VPN vulnerability exploited via a maintenance account that was subsequently deactivated on July 9.
The leaked information includes 189,000 employee records from member organizations and 57,000 records involving contractors, while no My Number identifiers or citizen data were exposed.
