The National Highways Authority of India launched 'OneTag' on the Rajmargyatra app, allowing vehicle owners to change their FASTag issuing bank without replacing the physical tag on their windshield.
Users can complete the porting process by entering their vehicle registration number, verifying via a six-digit code from the current bank, selecting a new issuer, and completing KYC onboarding.
The NHAI stated that the service aims to reduce tag reissuance costs and streamline lifecycle management, though ported tags carry a mandatory six-month cooling period before switching again.
