A five-storey PG accommodation building collapsed in South West Delhi's Satya Niketan at 01:33 p.m. on September 6, 2026, resulting in at least one death and six confirmed rescues.
Local reports indicate the 40-50-year-old structure housed approximately 15 rooms with two to three students each, and repair work was reportedly underway in the basement when the incident occurred.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and the NDRF are coordinating intensive rescue operations, while the adjacent building has been vacated as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.
