Civil Aviation Ministry Issues Show-Cause Notice to Air India Over Delhi Airport Immigration Skip

The Civil Aviation Ministry issued a show-cause notice to Air India CEO Campbell Wilson over procedural lapses that allowed three Italian passengers to skip immigration at Delhi airport on September 4.

The three passengers flew from Amritsar to Delhi and boarded a Lufthansa flight to Munich without clearing immigration, as their itinerary did not fall under Air India's Hub-and-Spoke model.

Home Secretary Govind Mohan will chair a meeting with aviation and immigration officials on Tuesday to discuss the security lapse.
