The Railway Protection Force constituted a specialized narcotics cell to counter drug trafficking operations conducted through Indian trains.
The RPF is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Narcotics Control Bureau to enhance capacity building, information sharing and joint operations.
The initiative aligns with the Union government's target to completely uproot the drug trade from India by December 31, 2029.
