Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs' four-party governing coalition won 35 percent of the vote in the parliamentary election held on Saturday.
Voter turnout exceeded 51 percent as nearly 1.56 million citizens were eligible to choose the 100 members of the Saeima.
Lawmakers planned to begin negotiations on Sunday to form a new multi-party government in the splintered political landscape.
