PM Modi Calls for Dismantling Terror Ecosystem at SCO Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation to dismantle the ecosystem of terror financing and safe havens during the summit in Bishkek on September 1, 2026.

The Bishkek Declaration called for an inclusive government in Afghanistan and expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict in the Persian Gulf region.

As Pakistan assumes the SCO chair for 2026-2027, member states agreed to establish an SCO Development Bank to facilitate large-scale infrastructure and investment projects across the region.
