The Maharashtra government decided to revamp its Women and Child Development Department services to simplify procedures, reduce paperwork, and minimise administrative delays.
The overhaul involves discontinuing four schemes, including multipurpose community centres for women and solar power sets for anganwadi centres, to improve resource utilisation.
Nine scheme-related services will be removed from the Aaple Sarkar portal, while applications for the Lek Ladki Yojana will transition online through the MahaDBT portal.
