Agartala Government Medical College gets approval for 250 MBBS seats

Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) received approval to increase its MBBS intake from 200 to 250 seats for the 2026-27 academic session.

This increase brings AGMC's total MBBS seats to 500, aligning with the maximum permissible intake under NMC norms.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved an overall increase of 13,186 MBBS seats nationwide, bringing the total to 1,40,214.
