Youth Congress Protests at RSS Headquarters Over 'Purification' Row

Youth Congress workers led by president Uday Bhanu Chib marched to the RSS headquarters in New Delhi to protest a 'shudhikaran' ceremony held at a venue used by Mallikarjun Kharge.

The protest followed an August 10 rally in Uttarakhand's Haldwani where Congress leaders alleged a purification ritual was performed, prompting Rahul Gandhi to demand an FIR against the incident.

Police detained the protesters as the BJP maintained that the party does not subscribe to such rituals, with Uttarakhand BJP president Mahesh Bhatt defending the event's context.
