Amritsar airport suspended flight operations for 90 minutes on Sunday night after the Indian Air Force reported drone activity near the airfield at 9:50 pm.
The closure forced seven incoming flights, including two each from Air India and IndiGo and one from Air India Express, to divert to Chandigarh and Delhi.
Operations resumed at 11:15 pm after a security committee assessed the situation and confirmed no further drone sightings, allowing five of the diverted aircraft to return.
