Preeti and Jaismine Win Gold Medals at Commonwealth Games

Indian boxers Preeti Pawar and Jaismine Lamboria secured gold medals in the women's 54kg and 57kg categories respectively at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Preeti defeated Canada's Scarlett Delgado 5-0, while World No. 3 Jaismine clinched her title with a 5-0 victory over defending champion Michaela Walsh of Northern Ireland.

These victories mark a significant achievement for the Indian boxing contingent, with Preeti winning the first gold of the day for the nation on August 1, 2026.
