Hundreds of residents evacuated from the Russian-occupied frontline Ukrainian city of Oleshky crossed safely into northern Ukraine on Saturday.
The evacuation was facilitated by a temporary humanitarian ceasefire brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump, which cleared mine-ridden routes out of the city.
Evacuees traveled via occupied Crimea, Russia, and Belarus before arriving in the Chernihiv region to emotional reunions with long-separated family members.
