
Vedanta Ltd. announced the demerger of its real estate business into a separate listed entity, allowing shareholders to receive one share for every 20 shares held in the parent company.
The real estate unit, which reported a turnover of ₹1.26 crore as of March 31, 2026, will focus on residential, commercial, and infrastructure development projects.
Vedanta shares closed 0.8% higher at ₹266.65 on Thursday following the announcement and the report of a 152% year-on-year profit increase to ₹5,294 crore for the June quarter.
