OpenAI introduces 'Locked chats' feature for enhanced user privacy

OpenAI is rolling out a 'Locked chats' feature that keeps selected conversations out of regular history and search results for improved privacy.

Users can secure these chats using a 4-digit account PIN or device-level authentication like Face ID and Touch ID on supported mobile devices.

The feature is currently being deployed across all ChatGPT service tiers, including Free, Pro, and Enterprise, with the company noting that some chat types may remain ineligible.
