Centre Rejects Elon Musk’s Claim That India’s Regulatory Framework Blocks Starlink

The Ministry of Communications on Thursday rejected Elon Musk's allegations that India's regulatory framework is biased or being used by oligarchs to block Starlink.

Elon Musk claimed on Wednesday that Starlink's entry into India was being blocked by certain entities seeking to protect a monopolistic chokehold over the market.

The Ministry stated that a non-discriminatory authorization framework applies to all satellite communication service providers, with three licensees currently undergoing standard security assessments.
