EPFO Targets 48-Hour Settlement for PF Withdrawal Claims

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation aims to settle most fresh withdrawal claims within 24 to 48 hours, significantly reducing the previous 7 to 10-day timeline.

EPFO will introduce a new framework within a month allowing claim settlements directly through the BHIM app to UPI-linked bank accounts.

The organization recently credited ₹1.44 lakh crore in interest at an 8.25% rate to over 34 crore member accounts as of July 3, 2026.
