Former spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has urged captain Shubman Gill and coach Gautam Gambhir to provide clear communication regarding Sarfaraz Khan's role in the Indian Test squad.
Sarfaraz was recalled for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka starting August 15, 2026, following an injury to Sai Sudharsan, though his place in the playing XI remains uncertain.
Ashwin suggested that if the management doubts Sarfaraz's technique in specific conditions, they must inform him so he can focus on mastering sub-continental conditions.
