Muchova and Mensik Win US Open Mixed Doubles Title

Karolina Muchova and Jakub Mensik secured their first Grand Slam title by defeating Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli 6-3, 1-6, 10-6 in the US Open mixed doubles final.

The pair claimed the $1 million prize money after saving two match points in the final and overcoming a 10-point tie-break in their semi-final against Andrey Rublev and Mirra Andreeva.

Mensik, a 20-year-old French Open semi-finalist, sealed the victory with a 131mph ace, marking his first time playing mixed doubles alongside the 30-year-old Muchova.
