
The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration seized unsafe dairy products worth ₹5.4 crore and suspended 404 licences during a three-month statewide enforcement drive.
Authorities inspected 9,485 establishments between June and August, resulting in 4,321 improvement notices, 867 arrests, and the seizure of total food stock valued at ₹67.20 crore.
The operation also targeted prohibited items like gutkha and pan masala, confiscating banned products worth ₹19.62 crore alongside other food commodities.
