The Centre notified the appointment of seven judicial officers as judges of the Delhi High Court out of eight recommendations made by the Supreme Court collegium.
Approval for Gurvinder Pal Singh's name was withheld, while Nivedita Anil Sharma and Nisha Sahay Saxena were appointed as permanent judges.
Five other officials were appointed as additional judges, raising the total working strength of the high court from 44 to 51 against a sanctioned 60.
